Analytics

Data collected by anonymous analytics

What Nowly sends if you enable anonymous analytics, and what it never collects.

Anonymous analytics are optional. They help us understand whether setup works, which presences are used, and where Nowly needs attention. They are not required to use Rich Presence.
01

Collected only if you accept

If you choose to share anonymous analytics, Nowly may send:
  • An anonymous device ID generated locally, not linked to your name, email, or Discord account.
  • Your browser, operating system, language, extension version, and Nowly Host version.
  • The list of installed presences and high-level activity sessions, such as platform and duration.
  • Setup and consent events, so we can find broken onboarding steps.
02

Never collected

Nowly does not collect page URLs, page titles, searches, watched content titles, raw IP addresses, Discord IDs, Discord messages, or your Discord token.
03

Why this helps

These stats show which presences need maintenance, whether Nowly Host connects reliably, and which onboarding steps fail most often. That makes fixes less guesswork and more focused.
04

Your control

You can decline during onboarding, change your choice later in the extension settings, and export or delete analytics data from the Data & Privacy page.
