What does Nowly Host do?

It only acts as a local bridge between your browser and Discord. It lets Nowly update your Rich Presence without sending your activity to our servers.

Installation Guide

Download the right file

Choose the recommended installer for your system. The portable build is available if you prefer keeping the files without a setup wizard.

Open the downloaded file

Run Nowly Host and follow the setup. On Windows, read the SmartScreen note below if a protection prompt appears.

Install a presence

From the library, add a presence like YouTube to test that the extension and Nowly Host communicate correctly.

Open the library

Check Discord

Keep Discord Desktop open, start a supported website, then check that your status updates automatically.

Windows SmartScreen warning

Windows may show “Windows protected your PC” because the installer is recent. Click More info, then Run anyway only if you downloaded Nowly Host from this page.
